I remember one of my old team mates had a Del Sol. I've always felt this was a poor attempt at trying to compete with the Mazda Miata and Toyota MR2 (but that was just my ignorance).
It was based on a civic, and a replacement for the 88-91 CRX. The roadster also had a trans top available in Japan and Europe (if I read that correctly)
The smaller lights toward the middle is also reminiscent of the Lexus SC300, but eventually were changed out.
Being a Honda and the aftermarket filled with civic stuff, the Del Sol had a ton of parts available too!
The typical civic swaps and even conversions. The one thing I though was dope was that people made this car RWD with both a front mount motor and a mid engine set up!
